A Northern California, Central Valley native, Aaref Rodriguez recently earned his MFA in Film Production from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts under a highly selective, fully funded, Annenberg Fellowship Award. While at USC, he was awarded the National Association of Theater Owner’s Award for Excellence in Directing, A Broccoli Foundation Award for excellence in Producing, and a Rodolfo Montes Scholarship. Rodriguez also holds a BA in Theatre from University of Southern California and a MA in Theatre Arts from California State University, Los Angeles. Aaref recently made his feature debut as a Writer/Director with the Bad Man's Son feature titled Avenues. He is also in pre-production on his next feature titled Rockabilly. Prior to his time with Bad Man's Son, he produced the independent action feature titled Fugitive Hunter which was released by Lions Gate Films.
